Vinalhaven

Kennebunkport

Location: Vinalhaven, ME  

 

Vinalhaven is reached by a ferry. It is the largest Maine offshore island. It has one of the worlds-largest lobster fishing fleets and the best lobster roll food truck in New England. Many artists live here. It is a place for relaxation. Tourists can hike local trails or swim in the old quarry.

Kennebunkport has beautiful beaches and lighthouses. It has old sea captain mansions you can visit. It is also home to President Bush’s summer vacation house called Walker’s Point. People can see art, architecture, and antiques at Dock Square. People can see sights by walking, riding bikes, car or trolley.

Acadia National Park

Location: Arcadia, ME on Mount Desert Island 

 

Arcadia is Maine’s only National Park. It is one of the top 10 most visited National Parks in the United States. Cadillac Mountain is the first place to see daylight in the US for half the year. It has mountains, lakes, ponds, hiking and biking. Tourists can drive a car, hike or bike through the park.
